Well,Design is a keyword that just attracted you to come here and read this short brief about what it is and why is it important. So, Proceeding ahead I would like to tell you all the importance of design , so lets see what actually it is and why it is necessary?

So,as we see, having a product actually does matter but having a product with better design actually matters more. I have always found it interesting to see that people know how to build or develop something but they sometimes are unknown of the fact how make it a visual treat for the users or rather how to make it more attractive or improve its visual impact.Well that’s what is the most important thing.I’ll tell you why:

The world is full of colors, patterns, textures and different different structures,we all have a vision and a particular set of colors and visible things that take us to a great vibe,we like that particular things and that set of materials which attract us,similarly there’s this, which makes you feel that yes this is the right thing to be done here, the colors you use,the patterns and every single thing,it all matters a lot.If someone hates a product, there can be a great chance that the primary thing would have been its bad appearance, wrong choice of graphical elements and less user friendliness, which all makes sense.

Someone brilliantly said:

Explaining this part is the most important part of this blog.It said that poor design is visible, also the good design is always invisible, you must have always viewed many websites,web-pages and what not, haven’t you noticed that you always have a positive response or feeling when you view something like that? , but when you just see a bad page or a page with poor sense of design, wrong colors, wrong structures and materials, it makes sense calling it a part of poor design methodology. we must see and understand that poor design is just not too easy to understand, its bit complicated too as the perspectives matter a lot .

Though understanding it more clearly, lets see the other part of the story.Good Design, technically, sounds good and visually looks good,if we see it,according to my statement it’s invisible and yes that’s what it is.whenever we go to a website or a web-page or even a poster,if there’s something that just looks like everything is in flow and the visuals are soothing and satisfying, also, the structure has a proper planning with UX researches and stuff along with a proper color setting and pallets are matching too, then it is supposed to have a proper sense and hence we can define it as a good design, the term invisible is still controversial as you would be still thinking that how a good thing can be invisible? Well that’s just a thing which you can observe it by yourself by just exploring some great destinations of some really good designs and then just come and have a view of the content you normally see or think is cool .

Tip:Self exploration and content research is the best thing one can do before categorizing something into a good or a poor design section.

So,coming ahead, what all knowledge you should attain to have a basic idea and start with understanding designs, more better than anyone.

  1. Color theory
  2. Typography
  3. Lines,Shapes & Geometry
  4. Textures,abstracts & Backgrounds

These are the 4 basic elements which combine and can make you think by a designer’s perspective in order to enhance and develop a better sense of it in your own self.I’ll brief them now(short and crisp).

Color theory

The most essential thing in a visual.Color theory examines how various choices psychologically impact users. The color theory and their pallets are considered as the most important thing that creates an impact and gives an insight about the content, different pallets have a different purpose which are suitably different for each other.

Typography

The visual appearance of a particular page, poster or an info-graphic is always dependent on its fonts and typography too,it refers to which fonts are chosen, their size, alignment, color, and spacing. The fonts are categorized into broad types and have an important role in it.Typography involves font style, appearance, and structure, which aims to elicit certain emotions and convey specific messages.

Lines,Shapes & Geometry

The lines are an indispensable element ,it acts as a frame,a border,a partition, sections, and much more, the lines are the building blocks of shapes and different different shapes form a geometry and arrangement of different geometries lead to an abstract background. They all are interconnected to each other and that’s how important they are as they are the structural blocks of a design.

Textures,abstracts & Backgrounds

Certain elements and shapes combine repeatedly in a pattern to form a texture, they are of various types, colors and art.The textures are sometimes used as a background which fills the blank spaces in the background and add a visual perception to make it match with its elements and structures.

Mystery solved ! , now you can say that you have a better sense & understanding of design.Design is not tough if you discern it and find out as much as possible about it and its basics, well now since you’ve assimilated them,Hope you would be happy enough to read this.

Happy Creativity !!!
